My name is Thalbrück like the capital city of the virtual county Thalgau. Call me a Z-rex. Before Märklins Miniclub in 1972, I was already 1:220-ing.Reducing everything to Z-scale resulted in half a century happy hobbying. Modules and Dioramas are self designed and built, as are the Cathedral & Castle, Buildings, Trains, Ships and Planes. Even people, animals and Trees are mostly selfmade.
The site
This website wants to give you an impression of the virtual Earldom of Thalgau of which Thalbrück is the capital city. My purpose is to create a little work of art in which all my 'creative excesses' are integrated.
The name opZ
In Dutch opZ has many meanings. Firstly it means of course on scale Z, but also Operation Z for the complex plan to build a whole country with its history.
It also stands for (Z)set up and for intentional to express the Paradox of Technical Revolution versus Romanticism in a reduced size. Finally it could mean toasting on Z too. I hope you won't get up-Zet about all these different meanings.
